Million Attend In The City

It’s been a good ITC so far…. Some great panels, especially Tom Silverman (founder of Tommy Boy records) and Seymour Stein (founder of Sire Records). It’s inspirational to see such unassuming, but obviously intelligent and passionate people, be so successful. I’ve seen some great bands too – a young 17yr old R&B/Jazz singer who captivated the room – but unfortunately I didn’t get her name – and a Norwegian band called Real Ones, who sound like a Byrds cover band, but I mean that in the best possible sense. And of course, heard plenty of ‘Major Bashing’ and theories of how digital will impact the business, which in some ways, are no different to the arguments I heard 10 years ago when I first started attending conferences like this!
