The new iPhone has been announced but no UK date yet. Hopefully this device will do for mobile what the iPod did for “MP3” players. I haven’t been able to discern whether the iPhone can play MP3 files – let’s hope so, especially with Wi-Fi and Bluetooth built in. The potential for artistes to sell music via retail or live gigs is immense, but naturally, only to those prepared to drop DRM…
