The Orchard announced three new deals at MIDEM, negotiated with the assistance of Million. The Spanish aggregator Acquamedia, the radio streaming service Pandora and the Swedish electronics giant Ericsson, agreed deals to license The Orchards catalogue. Claes Ödman, Vice President, Multimedia Solutions at Ericsson, says, "This partnership enables Ericsson to distribute music from thousands of independent labels. Ericsson strives to offer operators and their subscribers a great music experience and we are delighted to have signed this contract with The Orchard since it will both broaden and deepen our content catalog." "This is great news for the continued progress in Pandora's U.K. licensing efforts. We are thrilled to partner with The Orchard in the U.K. Their large and comprehensive catalogue will enable us to have more great independent music in the service, which is hugely important to the discovery aspect of the Pandora listening experience," said Paul Brown, European Managing Director, Pandora Media. Million were instrumental in opening and closing the deal negotiations.
